About Delhi Chamber Choir
Delhi Chamber Choir, or DCC, was formed in 2007 to make Western classical choral music accessible and approachable for audiences in Delhi and beyond. While the Choir specializes in Baroque and Renaissance-era music, DCC’s repertoire extends from Victoria and Palestrina to contemporary composers like Whitacre, Gjeilo, and Karl Jenkins.
DCC's singers come from diverse musical backgrounds - conservatory students, professional musicians, experienced choristers, and music educators. Together, they have performed at premier venues in the city like Kamani Auditorium, Akshara Theatre, Sacred Heart Cathedral, The Pianoman Jazz Club, and more. Recently, the Choir performed at the prestigious NCPA Mumbai, debuting Welsh-composer Karl Jenkins ‘Requiem’ with the Symphony Orchestra of India under the baton of maestro Marat Bisengaliev, alongside select choirs from across India.
